Professional Flight Training Exhibition

The FLYER Professional Flight Training Exhibition is an exciting career exhibition for anyone considering a career as an airline pilot.

Our research indicates that little is known outside aviation circles on where and how to start a career as an airline pilot. The PFTE fills this knowledge gap for students, career advisors and parents/guardians, and is guaranteed to inform, advise and inspire visitors on what is involved in becoming an airline pilot.

By visiting the event visitors can find out:

  • Pilot Selection - What do airlines look for?
  • What qualification do you need?
  • When can you start?
  • What are the costs?
  • Life as a Pilot - What can you expect?
  • How to combine a university degree with pilot training.
  • City & Guild pilot apprenticeships.
  • What are the job prospects?
Leading pilot training companies from across the UK and Europe will be present, including the RAF and Royal Navy. A number of universities will also be exhibiting, to explain how to combine a degree course with pilot training. There is also an informative presentation programme featuring: British Airways, Flybe, West Atlantic and City & Guilds, who will speak about the recently announced pilot apprentice scheme.
There is a student and accompanying adult ticket concession of just £5 per person. To book tickets contact: Stephen on 01225 481440 or email him: stephen.harries@seager.aero or book online at www.flyer.co.uk/exhibitions. Tickets can also be purchased on the day from the Box Office.

A video and full information about the exhibition can be viewed from the same website.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you wish to discuss the exhibition in more detail. In the meantime, I trust you are able to circulate the event to your students.
