Aviva Apprentice programme
A four year programme for people who want to gain a professional career in insurance underwriting or IT without going to university.
  • Permanent position with real responsibility from day one
  • Salary of £14,500 p.a. with the potential to rise to approximately £23,000 p.a. within four years, based
    on performance
  • Professional status and industry recognised qualifications
Entry requirements
  • A minimum of 300 UCAS points from A Levels, Scottish Highers or equivalent examinations
  • A minimum of 5 GSCEs or equivalent grades A to C with
    two of those being in Maths and English
PwC post school & college leaver programme
Tax Technician
Salary: £14k - £20k per annum (subject to area/region)
Programme length: 2 years
Entry requirements
  • Leaving school with at least 240 UCAS points OR
  • Finished a degree but don't meet the PwC graduate programme entry requirements
You'll start off in our Expatriate Compliance Group, learning how to prepare tax returns for people leaving or coming to the UK to work. You'll be their point of contact, handling their queries by phone, email and sometimes face to face, advising on tax planning and getting exposure to a broad client base.
RBS Accelerate Programme
The RBS Accelerate Programme is a great opportunity to springboard your career within the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). The structured programme is spread across 2 years with support for you to gain an appropriate professional qualification as part of your development.
Entry requirements
  • 280 UCAS points or equivalent
  • relevant work experience such as customer service
  • at least a Grade C at GCSE or equivalent for Maths and English.
Barclays Apprenticeship scheme
Locations: UK wide
This is a unique programme to recruit young people aged 16 plus based on their attitude and potential rather than experience or qualifications.
Entry requirements
We believe it is attitude and potential that makes our Apprentices successful. There are not any entry requirements to start the scheme, but it is important that the people who work for Barclays have the right attitude and commitment.
