The organisation is continuing to grow and along with that, so are our recruitment efforts at all levels of the business. Bringing it back to apprentices specifically, we recruited just under 200 apprentices who started their careers in September 2012, and we are looking to recruit another significant intake of around 160 for September 2013.
Essentially we offer two broad types of apprenticeship :
Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme
If you have GCSE entry or equivalent qualifications, we have opportunities for you in Product Development or Manufacturing.Over the course of the 3 -4 year programme you'll earn:
- NVQ2 in Performing Engineering Operations
- NVQ3 in a subject specific to your role
- A Technical Certificate
Depending on the needs of the business, over and above your apprenticeships framework, you may also get the chance to complete an HNC, City & Guilds or Foundation Degree.
You'll start off at college learning the engineering basics you'll use in your role here. Then it'll be time for real hands-on experience in one of our manufacturing factories or vehicle workshop environments alongside our talented tradespeople. And, you'll still continue your studies at college on a day-release basis.
Higher Apprenticeship Pathways
If you have A-level entry or equivalent qualifications, we have opportunities for you across Product Development, Production Supervision, Purchasing, Finance or Manufacturing.Over the course of this six-year programme you'll earn:
- A fully sponsored Engineering Degree
- NVQ2 in Performing Engineering Operations
- NVQ3 in Business Improvement Techniques
- NVQ4 in Engineering Leadership
You'll start off at college learning the engineering basics you'll use in your role here. Then it'll be time for real hands-on experience in one of the expert teams across our business. And, you'll still continue your studies at college on a day-release basis.
