HSBC has launched its national work experience campaign, enabling young people to experience the world of banking. The programme is designed to offer an early opportunity to find out more about our branches, offices and head office departments, the type of work we do and the career opportunities that are available. This will help you decide if you like banking as a career and whether you should join us before or after university.
When are placements available?
Placements are mostly held during June & July and applications will open for these in January. Placements are also expected to be held in November 2013, applications will open later in the year. Other times of year could be available at a later date, but would depend on demand.
Some locations have specific dates, but many HSBC offices and branch networks are open to what suits students! Placements are for one week.
What's the application process?
Application is on-line and successful applicants will have a telephone conversation with one of HSBC's current graduate trainees. Successful candidates will be offered a placement in their preferred location and where dates are flexible, on the dates that are suitable for both the student and the organisation.
