How does the Enterprise Placement Programme work?
There are four stages to Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s interview process: application, telephone interview, branch visit and assessment centre. Each stage brought a new obstacle but the friendly atmosphere made it easier. I found it exciting, challenging and motivating as it gave me the opportunity to see what a graduate recruitment process is really like.
Did you feel like a typical intern during the placement?
Definitely not. From the beginning, I was trusted with a high level of responsibility, which included managing customer service at the branch as well as organising and monitoring all damage claims for the vehicles. These roles are integral to the successful running of our business. The responsibility was the factor that I enjoyed the most, along with the variety of the job; you’re kept on your toes everyday whilst making decisions you feel suit the situation best.
What advice would you give to someone interested in a role with Enterprise?
The only advice I would give to someone who is thinking of applying to Enterprise is do it. If you are willing to work hard, network and demonstrate the entrepreneurial spirit that Enterprise is looking for, the likelihood of returning as a graduate is high. I have done a year’s placement and been invited back as a Management Assistant after I finish my University course, which is great. I can enjoy my final year without worrying about looking for a job after I graduate!
